How do I book a load/send a parcel using Udreo?

To book a load on Udreo follow these steps:

  1. First, ensure that you have downloaded the Udreo application (app) from Google Play store or the iOS store OR use the web portal available here: Udreo | Customer
  2. Sign up by entering your full name, phone number and email address, and creating a password;
  3. If the first 2 steps are done, login to the Udreo app and tap login. Login with your email address and password;
  4. Tap the plus sign at the bottom of the page and the app will set your pickup location via GPS;
  5. If you need to change the location, type in your exact address. Select your preferred vehicle type and tap “Pre Book”;
  6. Enter the destination address by typing or selecting the suggestions provided;
  7. Select the pick-up and drop off date and time and choose whether the sender or receiver pays for the trip;
  8. Choose “Next”;
  9. Complete the “Receiver Information”, “Load Details” and choose whether or not you want a handler to assist in moving the goods. Then select “Post Load”.

There are no contracts with Udreo. Simply use the service when you need it and pay at the time of using it.

What Payment Methods Are Available?

As an Udreo customer, you can pay using Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card or your Udreo wallet. It is very important to always check for the payment methods currently available in your area.

We have carefully considered our clients and understand that it is not always convenient to use a cell phone. It is for this reason that the Udreo application has been developed for use on laptop or desktop computer as well for your convenience.

If you are unable to book a load, for whatever reason, our operators are always ready to assist you in booking your load. Our operators will book the load on your behalf.

The Udreo app has 2 main fees. The first is the vehicle fee which is calculated from the base fee, the distance fee and the time fee. The final vehicle fee is different for the different vehicles, and are based on the sizes of the vehicles. The second fee is a handler fee which is charged if you need us to assist you in loading & offloading the vehicle, which is only necessary if you are transporting large goods. The handler fees depend on the number of handlers you need.

We take the safety of your goods very seriously. With this in mind, all our drivers are properly vetted before they are allowed to drive for us. We continue to engage with, and train our drivers so your goods will always be in good hands. In addition to that, we provide an insurance of up to R500 for every parcel sent through Udreo.

At the moment we only deliver in Cape Town. We will, however, start serving other cities as soon as possible, including Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban

If you decide to cancel your booking, you can do so by simply opening the load on the app and press "cancel". A penalty will be charged if you cancel the booking after a driver has accepted and is on his way to complete the job.

We are the fastest parcel delivery service currently in the market. Once your load has been assigned to a driver it can be delivered in a matter of minutes, depending on the distance.

Tracking means knowing the position of your driver as well as the status of the request after the parcel has been collected from you.

We are different from your traditional courier companies in that we can deliver your parcel any day of the week. All you need to do is inform us when you want it delivered.

At any time during the delivery process you can track your parcel using the Udreo app on your phone, computer or laptop. This means that for you to track your parcel you need to download the Udreo application or be able to access the web interface.

We are different from the traditional courier companies in that through the Udreo app, you can contact the driver handling your parcel and request a change of delivery address. Communication with the driver can be made using the built in chat functionality of the app or you can call the driver as all their details will be visible to you.

Yes, you can.

To become an Udreo driver, simply download the Udreo driver application and complete the registration. We will review your application and after that we will schedule a training session with you and after that you will be approved as a driver.

When you request for the driver to collect cash for your merchandise in the case of a Cash On Delivery, the driver is required to immediately deposit the collected amount into Udreo’s bank account within 30 minutes. As soon as the parcel is collected from you and delivered to your customer, Udreo will normally pay you before the end of business day irrespective of whether the driver deposited the funds on time on not.

Udreo will handle the drivers and any issues that arise so that you can run your business
in absolute serenity and peace of mind knowing your parcels will always be delivered and the
funds collected on your behalf and deposited into your bank account.
